Dr [Dear] Sir Your favor of 13th n[?] is received. It would not be practicable to keep a separate account of the fuel need on Warren[?]Rail Road. I see no way to arrive at it except to change that Road with its proportion [proportion?] according to the distance.
The first hour we have had of the Iron Co[Company] on a/c[on account} of transportation of ore from Binghamton was in September that will appear (about 52 tons)[?] in the Sept[September?] account. We have since (in October) obtained about 47 tons[?], that is all we have taken in [?] said account.
I will when I see Wm[William] Scranton prepare a Bond[?] as advised. I do think our Agents and Passenger Conductors should be supplied with Bank Note Reporters weekly if it is not too expensive they are now supplied monthly it would be better if they have them weekly. 25 Copies would be enough for the Conductors & [?] the principal [?] Stations.
Respectfully Yours [?]
